The Role

Responsible for Implementing optimal network capacity utilizing latest design requirements. Ensures efficient and timely deployment of Infrastructure projects, meeting customer demand through analyzing current network designs, new technologies and future opportunities for augmentation. Assimilation of various internal and external customer requirements, creates new network capacity solutions, assembles the required equipment augment costs and budgets and participates in the overall network augment approval and trigger process. Undertakes specific Infrastructure projects. Is considered a subject matter expect and acts as technical lead and mentor.

This position’s primary responsibility is working in conjunction with multiple groups to implement/engineer/initiate critical/critical system engineering plans (i.e. Facility construction/Expansion, AC/Utility power, AC surge suppression, generator/transfer switches, UPS systems, HVAC, building construction, DC power, grounding/lightning, final floor and space planning and records/capacity).

The Critical System Planner will interact and work closely with key internal and external groups along with vendors to create, establish, and enforce project plans for the installation of services with effective governance and communications.

This position is fully remote work from home within the US.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Develops project plans, tasks, and timelines with great vision and clarity while performing risk assessment, contingency planning, and resource management to ensure services are consistently delivered correctly and cost effectively on a timely manner.

  • Facilitates project tasks through daily communication and weekly team meetings; managing vendors in ordering, shipping, and receiving of all hardware and equipment; coordinate with Field Operations in space and power requirements while following through with the deployment and installations of network elements and infrastructure systems.

  • Communicates project plan and status with high clarity, visibility, and frequency while capturing and measuring metrics and monitoring performance against the project tasks and dependencies. Provide weekly updates on meeting minutes and project plans to senior level management and key strategic stake holders.

  • Develops, documents, and communicates network deployments that promote the health, scalability, and flawless operation of our network and the protection of our customers, employees, assets, and revenues.

  • Drives the ongoing support of our existing networking with external/internal resources to ensure a positive working relationship, complete accountability, and integrity of the working teams.

  • Initiates work identifying current or potential problems in the network and defines appropriate solutions. Functions as technical expert, may supervise work of resources on assigned projects.

  • Demonstrates detailed understanding of current network configuration and technology to ensure capacity and efficiency of the planned designs. Provides assistance for the development of tools to monitor, manage, and report on the network.

  • Leads the development of plans to augment, optimize, and reconfigure the network as growth dictates.

  • Defines the need for and documents extremely complex detailed technical methodology for installation of infrastructure equipment of moderate complexity, including written directions, graphical equipment layouts, and equipment topology.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years professional experience or Bachelor's Degree in Field of Study Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Construction Management

  • Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities.

  • Ability to prioritize with good time management skills.

  • Strong data/economic analysis skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

  • Detail oriented with an intense focus on quality

  • Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and communications skills

  • Strong computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Excel

  • Required to travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in related field and 2+ years of related experience

  • Experience in an engineering role that included a substantial business/financial focus

  • Experience and skills using SQL

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$63980 - $85300 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.

$67340 - $89780 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.

$70710 - $94270 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.

$74070 - $98760 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.

As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are deter,omed by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
