Mayo Clinic Faculty Position in Molecular Pharmacology & Therapeutic Dev in Rochester, Minnesota

Responsibilities

MOLECULAR PHARMACOLOGY & EXPERIMENTAL THERAPEUTICS (MPET) announces a search for an open rank Faculty member with expertise in the field of cancer molecular pharmacology and a focus on computational drug design. They should be a computational biologist or medicinal chemist who has substantial knowledge and expertise in computational molecular dynamics–based drug discovery such as molecular modeling, machine learning, fragment–based drug design, cheminformatics, or physical chemical property modeling. They should also have the ability to leverage experimental data to inform computational approaches and vice versa. An ideal candidate would also have a wet lab program. The successful candidate will have a primary appointment in the Department of MPET in Rochester, MN.

The ideal candidate will have a history of NIH-equivalent extramural funding or high potential and strong promise to compete well for meritorious, competitive extramural funding. The recruited individual will also be able to collaborate within MPET, other clinical and basic science departments as well as Centers, including Mayo Comprehensive Cancer Center, Center for Regenerative Medicine and Center for Individualized Medicine across the Mayo Clinic enterprise (i.e., Mayo Clinic Health System, Mayo Clinic sites in Arizona, Minnesota, and Florida). In addition, as a faculty member in MPET, they will be highly encouraged to participate in education, training, and departmental activities.

Candidates are required to have a M.D., Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D and a minimum of three years post-doctoral experience.
