Robert Half Patient Care Coordinator in Richland, Washington

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Patient Care Coordinator based in Richland, Washington. This role is part of the healthcare industry and involves interacting with patients and healthcare professionals to facilitate seamless patient care. This position is a contract role and will be based in a clinic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact for patients, both over the phone and in person

• Establish trust with patients through professional and courteous interactions

• Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare professionals to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable patient experience

• Turn phone calls into appointments, contributing to the revenue generation of the practice

• Utilize organizational skills to ensure the office runs smoothly and professionally

• Assist customers in navigating health insurance processes

• Coordinate patient scheduling to ensure efficient operation of the practice

• Perform a variety of customer service, sales, marketing, operational, and administrative tasks

• Contribute to the overall success of the practice through diligent and thorough work. Requirements • Must possess knowledge of insurance, including understanding policies and procedures

• Ability to assist customers in a professional and empathetic manner, providing clear and concise information as needed

• Proficient in patient scheduling, ensuring smooth operation of daily appointments

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare environment

• Proficiency in using computer systems and software (MS Office, patient management software)

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure

• Demonstrated ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in healthcare administration or similar field is a plus.
