Amazon Finance Compliance Sr. Program Manager in Mexico City, Mexico

Description

The Amazon Mexico team is looking for a talented, smart, and experienced Finance Compliance Program Manager (PM) to help us continue building an compliant Amazon store business. Joining the Mexico Store Finance team means partnering with a dynamic and creative group who set a high bar for controllership and compliance in a fast-paced and changing environment.

The MX Finance Compliance program manager will be responsible for guaranteeing full regulatory and tax compliance across Amazon stores operations. This person will raise the bar on Compliance practices, and will identify, map, and prioritize projects with a customer obsession mind. To be successful in this role, you need to feel comfortable navigating on broad and diverse topics such as Finance, Taxes, Accounting, I-trade, Operations, Business, working with tech teams, and dealing with high level of ambiguity.

Key job responsibilities

You will work at tactical and strategic level, owning a large program, unblocking teams and increasing the speed of delivery, negotiating resources and priorities.

You will need to able to find a path forward in difficult situations. Drive improvement and efficiencies by streamlining or eliminating excess process.

You should be able to dive deep on complex topics, identify potential risks, propose solutions, and balance them with high business judgement the trade-offs between short-term needs vs. long-term needs.

You will need to manage meetings effectively. Putting the right people in the room. Drive detailed discussions and high-level alignment.

Your communication needs to be clear and concise in verbal and written communication. Able to communicate across an increasing diversity of areas (e.g., legal, regulatory, finance, PR, PP, Tax, Accounting, Business, Operations, etc.).

You need to be seen as a trusted advisor to present decisions to leaders up to 3 tiers above level.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 7+ years of managing stakeholders in cross-functional project experience

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • Bachelor's degree or certificate of completion of studies required

  • Experience in Tax Compliance and Controllership related areas

  • Fluent in both, English and Spanish

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a Tax product manager or Finance program manager
