Description
The Youth Pre-Employment Assistant Manager is responsible for ensuring ENRICH transitional services for high school-age students with disabilities and their parents. This position will provide current, effective programming with the goal of preparing students for employment and independence in the community.
Supervises Youth Pre-Employments Specialists to ensure services are appropriate including ensuring daily computer documentation, driving, daily counseling, behavioral support and task training are being provided.
Responsible for ensuring that services are provided at community businesses and taught in a classroom setting.
Ensures the safety of students is primary.
Assists the Youth Pre-Employment Manager to ensure smooth operation of program.
Assists students with the development of their work schedules.
Develops and maintains regular, professional communication with parents, businesses and school district personnel.
Ensures staff meet all agency and state training requirements.
Co-hosts monthly parent nights and guild meetings.
Attends county transition council and presentations at information nights may be needed.
Consistently role models to encourage students and staff to exhibit appropriate work conduct at the work site.
Maintains professional interaction and appearance with all of our host companies and school districts.
Assist Youth Pre-Employment Manager develop grow work sites as needed.
STARTING SALARY: $ 27.41 to $ 31.94 per hour
SCHEDULE: 40/Monday through Friday - must be flexible, based on needs of the program
Minimum Requirements
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years college.
Experience with transition services including 2+ years’ managing services and supervising staff preferred.
Valid NYS driver’s license which meets the acceptable criteria of the agency’s insurance carrier.
Must attend NYCASE trainings and OPWDD job coach trainings.
Must become First Aid, CPR and 19A Certified within one (1) year of hire/start date.
