Position Description

  • This position is responsible for providing scheduling, financial, and project coordination support for the production group.

  • Supporting the production plan will involve working closely with operations leaders, and others to coordinate manufacturing plans that achieve the company objectives relative to customer service, efficient resource/capacity utilization and inventory investment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Identify and resolve problems.

  • Provide logistics planning support

  • Back up production planner

  • Assist with weekly time card needs

  • Support implementation of innovative and aggressive approaches to transportation process and price reduction improvements

  • Supports the QMS by delivering quality products and services and meeting quality objectives

  • Works to consistently meet and exceed customer requirements

  • Continuously strives for operational excellence and continuous improvement

  • Assist with customer support questions and information sharing.

  • Monitor material availability and communicate as appropriate.

  • Support order entry and project release functions.

  • Assist with inbound and outbound shipping activities.

  • Provide support for trucking load quoting and planning/setup.

  • Assist with revenue forecast planning.

  • Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience & Skills

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalent Diploma (GED) is required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field from an accredited college/ university is preferred.

  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.

  • Experience in operations, inventory management, MRP and lean manufacturing processes.

  • Data access/retrieval skills with experience in data analysis, data manipulation using MS Excel and/or other tools as provided.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal company and external associates, both written and orally, including the telephone.

  • Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.

  • Ability to life up to 25lbs with or without accomodations
