If you're looking to take your career into the Manufacturing industry, there is a terrific permanent position available for an experienced Staff Accountant at Robert Half. As a Staff Accountant, you will be in charge of preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. Throughout the monthly close, you will also be responsible for various aspects of internal reporting. You will lend your skills in assisting the development and implementation of accounting policies. Also, you will take part in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This position plays an intricate part in producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Your responsibilities

• Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation

• Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management

• Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable

• Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations

• Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

• Partake in various department-wide initiatives

• Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

• Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested

• Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease

• Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

• Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision

• Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000.

Requirements

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

• The ideal candidate will be highly-skilled with exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Recent and relevant accounting experience

• Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

• Spreadsheet and database capabilities

• Strong attention to detail

• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

• Royalty statements experience preferred

• Solid understanding of financial reporting

• Proven knowledge of Contract Compliance

• Experience with Maintain Files

• Well-founded grasp of Contract Management

• Sales analysis & reporting experience preferred

• Deep understanding of Monthly Accruals

• Experience with ERP systems

• Competent with spreadsheets and databases

• Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
